Please join Spring Arbor University’s Music Department in their love of music by participating in the Babbie Mason Songwriting Competition on Friday, February 10, 2023. Your submissions are wanted, and the competition is open to both Spring Arbor internal and applicants external to SAU as well.

You may submit a MP3 or MP4 digital file of your song, with scores, to BMsongwritingcompetition@arbor.edu by December 16, 2022. You may also submit a YouTube or SoundCloud link with your submission. SAU music department professors and special alumna guest, Babbie Mason, will determine the top 10 finalists for the live, in-person competition event.

The live competition event will be held on Spring Arbor’s campus in Ralph Carey Forum on Friday, February 10th at 6:30 p.m.  The event will include a special musical performance by Babbie Mason. If you are selected as a finalist for the live competition, you will receive notification via email by SAU’s Music Department with additional details of the live event.

Don’t forget—submit your initial file by December 16th to BMsongwritingcompetition@arbor.edu.
